Planck
Hailing from the city of Phoenix, Arizona, and having formed in 2021, Planck acts as both
stalwarts of the Arizona jam scene, and representatives of what Phoenix psychedelic music is
all about. Working their way up from private parties and small shows, they have become
trailblazers of revitalizing the genre locally. They also take pride acting as liaisons for touring
bands looking to gain a following in the Valley of the sun.
Consisting of Austin Ellis (lead guitar/vocals), Steven Cunningham (bass/vocals),
Cheese (drums/vocals), and Kevin Cramsey (guitar), this quartet of creatives bring their
individual influences to song-writing and improvisation. Their music, at it’s core, draw inspirati
from jam staples like Phish, Spafford, and Widespread panic, as well as more avant garde
groups like Frank Zappa and David Bowie.
